One of the STT instructors had those. They were cool, but I'm not sure of the purpose.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

They had issues with some of the plastic pieces popping off mostly cosmetic, and the short plastic exo finger on the pinky popping out of the retainer on the first gen. I believe they have already redesigned though. I have a pair of the biomechs on there way. Was told they were more comfortable for long riding with not much less protection, but less restriction. Oh and yes I've also heard the exo skeleton can get in the way of your lever.
My biomechs just came in. I obviously haven't been able to ride in them yet, but initial impressions are very good. Extremely good fit and finish, very comfortable, fit like a second skin. Given that the handroid is a step above these, you've got nothing to worry about quality wise. Hope that helps bud.
I've done 2 rides wearing mine so far and haven't had any issues with them snagging levers. When I first saw them I kind of thought they were a little gimmicky but now that I have them up close and have ridden with them they are pretty badass. They are comfortable, and there are sliders on the palm and wrists which is pretty cool, although I think some other gloves have that as well. Kangaroo leather is a nice touch for lightness and durability, but by far the coolest thing(other than looks) is the tightening system. No more folding flaps with velcro getting bunched up. Just twist the knob and they tighten around the wrists perfectly. I like them, but we'll see how long they last.

I had them and returned them. The thub was huge the plastic came off and the stiching was giving me blisters.
