I went out for a 95 mile Jaunt. It was nice. I stopped by the Vanilla Bean Cafe and had a cup of coffee. There were no other bikes there. It was nice to get out. Fun times.

I contemplated going out, roads are bare, but too much work to get my bike to the roaddid I just say that?

I went to put gas in the Tona today. Only a 5 minute ride, but it was something. COME ON SPRING!!
Like a kid in a candy store!
ice on the driveway...and still some ice in shady places on the roads....and big puddles and hidden potholes everywhere...
I'm proud of myself for exhibiting restraint...a new capability for me!!!

Bruce,i hope to meet you again like i did at the Vanilla Bean last summer.Restraint is easy RIGHT NOW with the roads in such poor condition. My Buells are almost ready. My new supertuned 996 IS ready, but i cringe as the salt/sand kick up.I could only bear riding the 996 for less than a mile with the new engine as the sand kicked up

Was thinking about it but did not get too much sleep on my night shift and spent two hours clearing the snow...maybe, I can take my bike to work tomorrow
Degs and I put the finishing touches on the DRZ motor install and fired it up for the first time.

Power+cold race tires with snow on em+cold roads = rear end all over the place
Plus there was no seat, which is actually uncomfortable. Whoda thunk it?

That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
Got the KLR back together but spent all weekend hauling sand in my truck for the driveway and widening the driveway for the oil delivery tonight. Still 1+ miles in any direction is all ice/snow.

Blew out a wheel cylinder on the truck (messing around in the snow) and ended up doing a full rebuild on both sides....late Saturday and most of Sunday......

We thought about taking the bikes out now that our garage purchase is going through. Only problem is they are snowed in pretty substantially, and I'm not about to shovel a path in someone else's yard. Would have been nice to get them out, but oh well. Soon.

I was contemplating taking my bike to class today, but I was in the same situation as mzdagrl. I walked out of my apt to see my bike snowed in on all sides and I don't have a snow shovel. I didn't feel like shoveling it out and riding in the sand/snow/ice/dirt that's all over the roads right now. Instead, I took my Piaggio Typhoon to class! I'll ride my GS500 again when the weather warms up a little or the roads clear up more.
rode my bike from my current place to my new place today...only ~10miles, but it's been a while
cleared up the driveway real well the previous days in anticipation for this transfer
hope there's no accumulation this week as the rest of my stuff still needs to be moved!!
