I could be mistaken but I think the gearbox on those things is: N 1 2 3 4 5 6, and if that is true then to go in first gear you'd have to push down(GP shift)

well not really. He rode the RC211V 990. Not even close to the same bike as the 800.

Stoner's adaptation was his most impressive feat yet. I think that HAD to worry Lorenzo a bit.

And you guys are on crack about the gear box. You think they want to be guessing wether they hit first gear or not while riding at that pace?
