Never have, never will - that's f*ckin stupid
Never have, but would if I thought I'd definitely get away
Have once (got away), won't do it again
Several times, will do it again if I think I can def. get away
Once/several times, got caught, learned my lesson
Bemused*
Not interested in running from the cops myself, but have heard mixed things from people I know, and haven't heard stories/opinions on nesr. Curious about peoples' histories, so let's hear it.
*don't know the history behind this whole 'bemused' thing, but figured I'd throw it up anyway.
I have never ran and probaly never will. I'd much rather take a speeding ticket for $335.00 then get arrested or possibly killed. In the town I live in I got pulled over recently and the cop took pictures of my bike, so running here in my town would be completley out of the question.
after hearing HesSoNotHereAnymore's story, yeah, never have, never will.

god is in the details people. If you were coked up and listening to bon jovi and barely got away, tell us. deeetails
Just last week.
Actually, I'm not even sure if he turned around or not. I never looked back...![]()
Did it once at night. Scary. But I was 19, so I blame that on the teen superman complex. As I was slowing down my rear wheel bearing let go and I had to have my dad come pick me up at 11pm. Fun fun...
ok fine. A bunch of my squid buddies and I were practicing stunts on a back road with a nice straightaway. We gathered around the corner because there was one house at the other end and the people were looking out their windows and someone thought they were on the phone. two of my friends went back to check it out and saw cops coming. They came back and informed us ("COPS COPS!) as the rode by slowly and then took off. The rest of us followed suit. In retrospect, they would have been hard pressed to prove any specific one of us was doing it, but I didn;t care to find out. Of course, we ended up taking a road I didn;t know, went in to a corner too hot, and almost ate it hard...wearing jeans, a t shirt and helmet. I have since grown up and really can;t believe I was that dumb. Oh well...fortunately I got to live and learn...

2 july 4th's ago I wuz going down 95 South in Danvers mass. just past the barracks. I was doing 140 on my Busa in the fast lane. As I came around the corner, there was a statie out of his car with his stupid gun out patrolling the speed limit.
As he saw me, he had proceeded to wave me over to stop! In a split second I made a decision to either be locked up for the long weekend, or be free!
I decide to lay on the throttle, and rip it up to the Centre st. exit. When you get there, there is like 4-5 different ways to go. I got off and headed to 114 west. I have no idea if he even got in his car, but i made it home and parked my bike and took it easy for the rest of the weekend!
If all else fails, Lean more....
I did when I was younger a few times, but not in the last 10+ years. It was at the perfect time, all balls no skill/gear.![]()

That's right, back to a 2 cylinder, 3 cylinder, and a 4 cylinder.
ehhhhh. I would never run from a cop coming at me from behind, they'll win with the numbers, or when I crash.
Once... I was going over the speed limit (60soemthing in a 45) on a main drag and a cop flashed his lights at me. I gunned the throttle around the next bend as I saw him about to bang a uey, and did something like left left right left right right left right and so forth until I got home.
Oh and on last year's big big long long. You guys know the story. I was one of the people passed by the cop then turned around. Thanks for making everything alright mike! I wouldn't count that as "running", because i was staying at about the speed limit going the other direction.

stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid
i still voted bemused bitches
that'll fuck up your stupid poll.
high speed chase, guns drawn, over double speed limit, all in a residential.
yeah 18y/o with the keys to a 3 week old S4. it was inevitable.
good news though believe it or not i only paid for the seatbelt fine and walked out of court. granted it was phone calls back and forth with the sgt of the DPD and my godmother (it was her car) for about 2 weeks.
I really dont ever want to know what she said or did to help get that ticket dropped for me, but i also must have made a good impression in court because i explained the entire story not one lie to both cops at the scene, the sgt, and the court magistrate, exactly how fast i was going running the light (85 in a 30) then how fast i was going trying to get away (115 in the same 30) and explained the whole story and that i wasn't wearing a seatbelt but my passenger was. they talked for a moment then told me to pay the 25$ fine and have a happy birthday. seriously fucked up. I went directly home and didn't drive a car for about a week.
true story btw.

A couple of years ago I was trying to merge onto Rt. 1N in Peabody and no one was cutting me any slack. Finally a small gap opened up and I took off, merged into traffic, and worked my way around 2 other cars. Once I was clear I opened the taps on the 12R for a couple of seconds when I cruised past a cop merging onto Rt. 1 at the next on-ramp. I was going about 125 at that point and still had it WFO. My brain said stay on the gas and don't look back so I kept it pinned and got off 2 exits later when the cop was completely out of sight. I took a number of different back roads on my way home to Ipswich and put the bike away for a week.
The cop didn't have lights on when I passed him and the next time I looked back, he was out of sight. I never looked at my speed but I was well into 6th gear.
"...i would seriously bite somebody right in the balls..." -bump909
What did he use for "b" and "a"?
A couple weeks ago, after I got out of work, I decided to take some backroads at a "spirited pace". I start rolling film and proceed to thrash this road but also within a certain safety margin...I guess that's what you'd call it. Anyways, I come around this corner and see what appears to be headlights for a police car....after about 3 seconds of travelling toward eachother, sure enough, they were headlights for a police car. I look down and see my speedo is reading....well......not really anywhere near the posted speed limit of 30....we'll just leave it at that...
Since I was at already at full lean with pegs scraping (not hard to do on the FJR), I figured it was in my best interest to keep going. I tried to look in both of my rearviews to see if he was doing anything like a U-turn or blue lights. I couldn't get a visual that way and didn't bother to look back so I upped the pace all the way back to my house.
I pulled in the driveway and start to remove my camera from its mount to review the footage I just got and whaddya know...the damn batteries died!![]()
I've out run em twice... Both pretty "safe" with the exception of speed.
The first was a late night coming up rt4 in RI around 12 midnight. No one on the road, and i was on my way home from URI. I was going at a brisk pace of around 80mph... Then off on the right side of the road in COMPLETE darkness, i see headlights turn on (facing me) and blue lights in the grill... Now i know my exit is two up the road in about a mile, and just over the hill... and i also knew this particular exit was a loong straight one and i could corner it at 120 max (those days coming home from work, i figured that out)... So i just wacked the throttle all the way to the exit.
After taking the exit, at the end of it i blew a red light to turn left to go under the overpass.... where i saw the cop coming to a screetching halt, jump out of his car, and run over to the edge looking down at me while waving his flashlight. I was now traveling nice and slow and just waved back, went under the bridge, and on my way. Parked the bike for a couple days. THAT was an adrenaline rush.
The only other was when i was going down Rt 2 in RI, about to merge onto rt 4. Right as i was getting onto the onramp, a statie was coming the other way. I looked at the speedo, and i was about 15 over the marked limit of 35. There's the blue lights, and the Uey in my mirror! So i just wacked it to the next off ramp. I saw him in the mirror come over the top of the hill of the onramp, then just looked forward and went.
Yay for gsf1200!
once but never again
never have, never will. it isn't worth the risk, imo.
