I'd like to read it if you could please insert a hyperlink.
I ran once. I was going 60+ down a 35 with a cop coming the other way. He flashed his lights and signaled for me to pull over. When he didn't make the U turn on the tight street that we were on, I booked. There was no chance for him to jot down the plate, and I was in suburbia hell (hell for him). I took a few turns, laid low until I got home, and now I've almost forgotten about it.
I am not condoning running by any means. I got lucky that once, and I was being very foolish, but another ticket would have meant bye-bye to my license for a few months. That would have ruined my summer, so it was risk versus reward.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

Oh see there's your problem. You, silly man, were riding the wrong way down the one way. Next time, try going the direction of traffic, might help.

So Ive heard that in the state of Massachusetts police officers are not allowed to legally pursue a fleeing motorcycle. I asked a friend who is a CJ major and she confirmed this. She said they are not supposed to chase you or radio it in, but they will twist anything around that they can to make it not sound like a pursuit.
Guys (and girls)
Please don't run. Seriously. I have been involved in public safety for almost 20 years now, and can't tell you how many times I have had to literally SCRAPE people off the road, and quite a few were idiots that decided to run from the cops. I've scraped guys up off Revere Beach Parkway, Route 1, 93....you get the picture. Cops have one thing that you can never, ever outrun. Radios. If they see your plate, they have you regardless.
The ones who did survive usually were not nearly what they were before the accident. Head injuries, missing limbs, disfigurement. You want someone to have to spoon feed you the rest of your life, and put on a bib just like when you were 1??
Is your LIFE seriously worth it? When you are running, you are seriously pumped up, the adrenaline gets you not thinking so straight, and sometimes you end up doing something stupid. I am not even saying I haven't done it either, but I am older now, and have a little more brains (and responsibility) than I did when I was 22.
Think about how your mom would feel if she found out you died because of a stupid speeding ticket. Or your dad, kid, girlfriend, boyfriend....whatever. Because I have ridden a good portion of my life, the motorcycle accidents were, for me, some of the toughest, mainly because I would bet a good 60% of them were 1000% avoidable.
For me and others in public safety, we have a saying. Stupid people doing stupid things equals job security. Don't let yourself become someone who helps me keep my job.
Off the soapbox now.
