In this months issue of Honda Red Rider. There is an article about setting the amount of Sag on your bike. It takes about 3 people to set it correctly. One to sit on the bike, One to hold the bike up, and One to adjust.
They mention that "Setting sag is the single most important suspension tuning that you can do for your bike"
Anyone up for a SAG setting meet?
Experts, learners?, anyone..... Bueller?
If you look in some of the old posts from Chuck on his suspension school that he gave a couple of months ago you will find a lot of info in his posts,,others here attended and can help I'm sure.
I believe static sag should be about 30 mm for your average sport bike street rider. But like Bob mentioned, look for Chuck's thread on it. He did a sort of 'seminar' not too long ago...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Wish he would do another now that my bike is out of the shop![]()

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
25-30 mm front static sag is correct. I'll do another seminar if there's interest. No prob. It doesn't take long to do and will improve the comfort and handling of your bike quite a bit. Last session I did 23 bikes one day and 7 the next. Concentrating mostly on static sag setting front and rear. I also made handouts that I could reproduce again.

yeah, I did a great stoppie (although that was not my intent), unfortunately got just a bit past the balance point and landed hard. Posted the details at SRNE. I'd be happy to help anyone with suspension setup. We can pick a place that would work for everyone, get the number of people that would be there and I'll copy the handouts needed. It was a great time last time we did it and a good gathering of people too. Maybe this time we could order pizza too.

Hmmmm... Well, the NESR race team will be @ Loudon on the 27th & 28th. 2 birds() 1 one stone? We could have it be: " Come support NESR racing and get your suspension set up for FREE!"
Maybe? Maybe not??

Kim and I would definetly be up for a suspension day. We wanted to be at the last one but something or other kept us from going.
Any chance you could post or email a copy of the handout??
