Im looking for some fork tube shims to take up some space in the tripple tree.
Anyone sell some? Looking at putting smaller dia forks on the bike so ill need to shim them where the triple mounts to the forks. ive seen them before.....
Try Peter Kates? He could probably make some if needed.

I prefer to buy some madeI can make them, but its the last option. Pete is a good idea as a back up!
You can buy shim stock at a local engineering equipment retailer, check the size with feeler gauges and half the total to figure out the thickness required. Any local engineering or fab shop can cut it to size for you.
Good luck!
i have access to some at work, just used some myself for my sv's front end.
how thick of stock do you need?

Guys, im just planning...I have no idea what I am doing or need LOL. I am looking for some forks for my drag bike, My dam tripple tree is 38mm... very small. I have a limited amount of forks available in 38mm so I was thinking I might look for some smaller ones as well to give me more options... thus the shim questionI can buy tubing from mcmastercarr.com so its easy enought to make my own, but if I can go to www.forktubeshims.com that would have been easier LOL.
Thanks for all the replys!
smaller than 38mm?? wow, what are you putting in there, mountain bike forks?![]()

LOL, all the old bikes used that size, KZ, GS etc....you fancy new bike boys have inverted forks so the tubes are bigger up top now.... just shifed the small parts down low...
