I want to machine up a bunch of adapters for my Pitbull rearstand to cover the single-sided swingarm bikes 1098, 848, SpeedTriple, etc...
If you have one of these bikes and a reliable set of calipers (good to .001")
could you do me a favor and measure the inside diameter of your rear axle and post it up?
Or... better yet, if you have a rearstand for your bike, measure the stand pin.
grassyass.
Edit: looks like I'm all set for:
Ducati 998/996/916/848/748, Super Motard, Monster S4R, Monster S2R, Multistrada 1000, M900E
Ducati 1098
HOW ABOUT MEASURING A PIT BULL STAND THAT HAS THE PIN ALREADY
pin on my 1098 stand - 1.668
pin on my 748 stand - 1.012

the 1098 has 2 diff sizes depending on the axel used
EVERYTHING is a repost

Are you going to implement a bearing as the pitbull pins do?
Ducati 998/996/916/848/748, Super Motard, Monster S4R, Monster S2R, Multistrada 1000, M900E are all one size.
1098 has two sizes. 43mm and 41mm

Which axle side or both?
2003 ZX7R
1995 916
Do you now if that's the ID of the axle or the OD of the pin?
Thanks!
Thanks guys!
I'm primarily interested in the side of the axle that would allow for wheel removal (tire changing). Looks like I've got the 916 covered if it's the same as the 996. Not going to bother making a stand as I already have a PitBull, so I'll be making them to work with PitBull's standard Ducati stand (bearings, interchangeable pins).

my pin size of 1.668 works out to 42.37mm so 41mm and 43mm must be ID
Ducati early 1098 pins from powerstands are 42.75mm (MV size too) Inside axle is 42.95mm
Maybee my caliper is off .05 but either way it's safe to assume .2mm tolerance for the pin to axle..
39.8mm pin size for the later (smaller) 1098 axles.
Pin measurements from the PU catalog
BMW: KS1200 s/r all 53.28mm.
Ducati All except 1098 Left side 21.7 / All right 29.5mm.
Triumph: All left side 27.3mm. / All right side 29.2mm.
I have pins here if you want to come check them out.
