I know...i know...I saw that too on a brochure and thought wtf...how hideous. I mean seriously wtf...who would wear that? Actually, I know a guy who would most likely wear that to match his old Kawi....but this is the same guy who fell down "SURFING" on his bike....go figure

Icon is for squids anyway...
...when helmet mohawks just aren't enough...
HP
Luckily those horn thingies are and extra add-on.
Seriously, I have an Icon and I like it just fine, but the horns is REALLY stupid. How is that even aero dynamic?
Downforce! J/K.
I predict that someone on this forum will post up a Poll asking which helmet he should buy and this will be one of them!
(I love when people ask others about their personal opinion about purely aesthetic stuff...if you don't know what you like I guess it's important to wear/ride shit that other people do. Actually, thats why I bought the Multistrada. Cus everyone else said it was beautiful!)

Your absolutelly right Dave. One should have an opnion concerning non-functional features.
That being said, as far as I am concerned function is allways more important than form despite the saying that "image is everything". While I'm not trying to shove my opinion on someone else's throat, icon's are okay, but too heavy and they do not provide the level of safety or comfort that a premium helmet does (say Arai, shoei, shark rsr2, etc).
That's James Britton's helmet, the well-known pro stunter. Let' face it, what the guy does it put on a show, this is part of the costume. Now they're selling it like they would a race replica. Same thing- fanatics will buy it, just like the dude who dropped $899 on a edwards replica that didn't even fit at laguna. To each their own.

Guess I called it when I said this kid would wear it to match his Kawi...lol
from the Icon site... "If you're feeling really frosty throw on the included FSB fin kit for a little bit of what the French call "a certain, I don't know what". Ridiculous? Perhaps - but deep down you know you love it. Available only in green as it further enrages the haters."
hahahaha
I feel the same way about people who would buy this and people who would buy the Rossi helmet where it's his face on the top of it.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Not that I would expect Icon to care but I wonder if the helmet still passes safety tests with these on.
I do believe some of the tests have rules that these might violate depending on what they are made of.
Pretty amusing though...
I find the ICON hattin' on here pretty funny.
They are ranked 3rd now behind only ARAI and Shoei, so you can't say they're only a poser company. Their composite helmets are constructed very well.
Although I did laugh when I saw the new brochure with this helmet..... The horns are just attachments that you can put on or not put on.
Not hatin on Icon. Like I said above I actually have an Icon Lid and Icon Skin/knee guards. I just think the horns have no practical purpose and look absoultely stupid. For the money Icon makes some really good graphics and nice helmets. But horns???I find the ICON hattin' on here pretty funny.
Wow, that is some ugly shit right there...BWHAHAHAHAHA.
