The short story:
I'm looking to do some December'ish track days. I would prefer not to freeze.
I had been thinking of Road Atlanta, Barber, and Jennings. Am I overlooking any tracks or, locals that would be of interest? Who has been where and what are your experiences?

There's a lot you're missing but the nice thing about Jennings is that they have 3 day open track days every other weekend.

Barber.
It's a great track and just EPIC place to visit. The museum and grounds are worth spending a day exploring alone.
I've spent 3 days total riding Barber, can't get enough.

Homestead in Miami. It's quite the lengthy southern excursion, but it's within close proximity of South Beach.

Did the Jennings 3-day last year in Nov. got to know the track well and found it easy to get your wicked fast on. It's a bare bones operation but is fun to be at as there are some southern characters working the track that are former new englanders.
BARBER IS.

BARBER!
I didn't get to make it to Jennings before I left cuz of a hurricaneBut from what I heard, it's a fast and relatively technical track. Road A is an awesome track as well...but again I never went there, as I was told it isn't necessarily a track for track n00bs. Barber was tits though, absolute sex on pavement. Equal lefts and rights, elevation changes, blind and clear corners, and a few really fast areas. Never made it to the museum, but you could easily spend 2+ days there too. The grounds of Barber are just immaculate as well.
If you go, lmk...I might be up for a trip...
Don't forget there's also CMP (Carolina Motorsports Park) which is good for wicked cheap trackdays too. Little Talladega is about 30 mins SE of Barber in Munford, AL...it's significantly cheaper than Barber (probably the cheapest of any mentioned), but it's also just flat, and 90% left handers.
dont be a pussy, show up to loudon this weekend, get your license and do daytona in october.
