just watched this on FB. pretty interesting. i knew about the 85th percentile thing. the speed limit on the highway south of my house is 50mph. it irritates me because they have made major improvements to that area. they eliminated essentially 4 exits and the ones that are left now have their own lane. it should be 55 there, at least, like it is everywhere else. now they are completely restructuring and remaking that whole section of highway with a second bridge, widening of the road, and eliminating a left side exit altogether. im willing to bet that the speed limit stays the same.
