Yup, I watched em both.
Whole time I just kept thinking about how the AMA sucks. Be nice if they at least let the Ducati's in AMA run the same rules as WSBK, but noooo.
Boston --> San Diego
I was really impressed with Barros. That guys is maybe 10 years older than the rest of them and he still amazes.
Especially after his shit start.
Monza has some really nice high speed sweepers, makes for really good racing.
AMA ?
the tracks are all parking lots that abut high speed ovals ! I wanna make trip out to some races in Europe !
The AMA Series is based upon production machines in Superbike.Originally posted by a13x

The WSB Series is based upon homologated machines. This gives much greater leeway for modifications.
To take it one step farther, look at WSS. The Honda CBR600RR is competitive and wins against other 600's with similar mods. In the AMA, since the CBR600RR must be a production machine first, the mods allowed do not play to the bikes strengths.
The WSS 600's can have kit tranny's, heads, CDI's, etc. They are very different animals than the AMA machines.
The AMA tries to level the playing field to control expences, but in the end the same amount of money is spent - it's just spent somewhere else to find that extra percent.
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.
