Well, to be fair, Sarah is a premiere student, so she might make any teacher look good. Although she made me work hard transferring some of my math skills!
Nick does me proud, he's a good rider, it's clearly a passion for him. And I know he appreciates all the support he's gotten here, especially from you Dave. Good stuff.
Congrats on the new bike!!! I think it looks awesome how it is, but then I am not a huge fan of naked bikes. Maybe I will see you at bike night sometime before the season ends?
Alex, significant other ride? When? Where? This sounds like the predecessor to my goal of a "family fun" ride....![]()

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
That's what happens when you go away for a month...Sarah is a terrific learner and is doing very well. I was definitely nervous in the beginning when Sarah wanted to ride but everyone that has helped her says she has plenty of ability; she just needs a bit more confidence.

It's all mental block and you just need to build confidence. The more you do the more you will see the bike can do. Learn at your pace and your comfort level.
Carla likes to ride behind me so if she does soemthing silly I have less of a chance to see it but I'm right there and can adjust to her pace and make sure she's safe by keeping a mirror on her.
Good luck and keep at it. The confidence will come.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
It helps to have a little room to run too. Starting, stopping, turning and the usual neighborhood requirements can make riding seem difficult. If you can find a road that has some distance between the stops and starts, that may help increase the "fun" part of riding. I don't mean anything fast, just longer and moderately twisty. Obviously you'll still need to work on skills, but all drills and no play can become overwhelming.
Enjoy!
