The banshee is my second choicei had 4 or 5? of those in the past
They're pretty powerful and there is nothing like the sound of that 2-stroke twin. It was great in the trails, front end heavy, didn't push to often and the ass end just slid around when you wanted it to. There are a few things to keep an eye on when looking at a used one though. Most important is the chain roler that goes around the swingarm, if the chain and roler isn't lubed EVERY time you hit the trails, it'll chew through the stainless steel guide, then through the swingarm. AMP Research has a nice fix for it, plus it helps add some traction by changing the pivot point caused by the chain. A must have for the shee. Also, keep an eye on the front end bushings, shock mount bushings and the rear axle lock nut (holds the disc and sprocket tight in the carrier). With proper care, they're bulletproof and the motor is proven extremely reliable

Going ice riding tomorrow after work, heard the local cove is 16" thick. Not sure if there are any restrictions to riding on salt water coves but i'll find out tomorrow i guess![]()

I don't really remember what to look for in a blaster, its been so long sence i had it (1990) but i do remeber having trouble with the mechanical disc brakesMake sure you keep the front end greesed and be extra careful when filling the oil tank not to get dirt in it. Alotta guys take the oil injection off those and just premix the gas. I have 2 quarts of yamahalube injector oil you can have if you want, the dealer gave them to me when i got my last banshee thinking it was premix oil

A good running banshee should start 1st or second kick everytime and should idle smooth once it has some temperature.

Hell yeah I'd love to try it before dropping 6500 on one new!
** Beware of cool down laps, injury may result**
You spend $2,700 on a old race bike, and yet you will spend $6,500 for a 4 wheeler? No wonder you broke your hand!!!!!
I'll check for those things thanks. He claims it runs mint and needs nothing just never rides it, well see.
