So, what kind of sticky tires can one get for a 110 front and a 130 rear.
thinking about picking up a new kawi 250 for next season. Will be a dual purpose bike. A street bike for the gf and a track bike for me.
Pirelli offers the Sport Demon in 110/130, not exactly the world's highest end sports tire, but the 130 rear I ran on my GS stuck to the track just fine at NHMS.
just run 2 120s it averages it out.

good idead David, i like the way you think. I don't need the stickiest tire out there. Just something to give good performance on the street for my girl and enough stick so I can be able to embarass the gixxah1k's in the corners.![]()
well, seems alot of the guys are throwing the 150 rears on the rear.Much like we do in Ptwins.
Pretty excited about tossing this bike around the track, as well as getting the girl back on a bike.![]()
worst comes to worst, i can swap rubber before and after track days. Now that she has shown interest in riding on the track, we may have another junkie in our midst.
I highly recommend Avon AM26 RoadRiders. Great-performing tire both in the twisties and for general-purpose use. I've got them on my Triumph Bonneville cafe racer, which is a substantially heavier bike than the Kawi 250, and they feel solid and stable at peg-scraping lean angles, yet they wear well. They also do very well in the wet.
