2008 - I bought a 2003 Kawasaki Z1000, rode it for a year and had a blast, traded it away over the winter and then bought it back that spring 2009, rode it 2009 and 2010 and sold it late last summer.

I remember when I took it for a test ride prior to buying it, I was following behind Expat on his Z, scared out of my mind!!

1979 Honda CM400T. Bought it from me mudda for $350 on my 16th birthday. Put some low bars, black mirrors, pods and a 2-1 Mac system on it. LOUD.

2 years and 24k miles later, I traded it to my Aunt for my current CB750F.

Bought my '03 SV650 with 585 miles on it at the end of '04. The woman who originally had it crashed it into the back her garage. Apparently the people at MSF (in PA) felt bad for her and let her pass on her third try. She hurt her neck and broke a leg. A friend fixed it up and I bought it. Love it!

I bought an 82 GS650GZ in early 2007 for $700 before I even had my permit. Rode it for 3 seasons before CEO convinced me to buy something made in the past decade. Sold it last season for $700. The only time it was dropped was when my dad tried to ride it a year after taking the MFS class and had refused to get a refresher.

The year was 1975. I looked at two bikes. A Kawi triple 500 and a Ducati 860. Liked them both so I bought them. I got the triple home and cafed it and installed chambers and when I went to the registry for my license test the cop laughed and said I would be dead that summer. The Ducati I paid 1500 new and sold it 7 yrs later for 2200.

I borrowed my uncle's '88 NX650 for my first year on the street. It looks identical to your's and is still in mint condition with (if I remember correctly) 3,200 miles. Hasn't been ridden since I parked it at the end of '99. Going to get it back on the road this year.

Mine was a 1979 Suzuki GT250 X7 which I got used in 1980, slated as the first true 100mph 250!
The pic is not mine but almost identical, I had go faster Red wheels!! It did wheelie well though!!
I paid about 500 UK pounds ($750ish) and had every penny's worth out of it. Traded it for a new RD350LC, now that was a fun bike!

My first bike was a 2001 (or maybe 2002) Ninja 250 that I purchased in the summer of 2007. It only had about 4k on it when I bought it for $2200. I put another 11k on it and sold it to TraciLynn for $1000 (she was broke at the time but wanted to learn how to ride). She tried to sell it for $2000 a year later after dropping it a bunch of times, but I don't think she ever did. Not sure.

1967 Honda CB160T. Bought in 1975 for under $200.00. I stripped it and rode it off road for a year before I got my license. I put all the street stuff back on it and it looked pretty sharp.
