I need to get a pair of gloves for the fall. Something warm but doesn't need to be insulated. I'm wearing a pair of Icon mesh gloves as of now and they just don't quite cut it with 40 degree mornings. I'm looking to get a pretty decent pair but don't want to pay too much, something in the $50-$80 range. I've been looking around newenough and bikebandit. So any suggestions
If you like your hands - get Helds. They are $$ I realize, but you'll only really ever complain about the extra 50$ or so when you buy them.
I have also had decent luck with Olympia, they tend to have some "value oriented" gloves, but their higher end stuff (and still not as pricey as Held) is pretty nice.
Rev-it also seems to make nice stuff.
However, I've only ridden with these gloves, knocking on wood no crashing...
I'm on my 3rd season with Joe Rocket Gauntlet style gloves.
They keep my fairly warm (more so than mesh would) but
they were around $120 i think.

Why not try heated grips? Then when it get a little colder use rubber gloves under the regular gloves.

I'm on my second pair of AGV gloves. My first ones got stolen. Found them for a great price.

What size?
I have some close out Cortech that are nice.
+1 for Olympia's. I've had their Carbons for 2 generations now, and keep buying them when I see them I've been so happy with them. I've ground the CF flat on the knuckles on two gloves in T9 incidents and my hands were completely unscathed. Fantastic gloves at a solid price.
I wear snowboard gloves or mittens when I ride in the winter. If it's real cold gauntlet race gloves with mittens over them.
Considering you're using mesh gloves now, I don't think you're concerned with saftey as much as comfort. Race style gloves are vented and made to breath, they aren't made to keep you warm.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
Komodo Ceno race gloves. 89 bucks
If all else fails, Lean more....
Joe Rocket Gauntlets are wunnerful! Even if you have heated grips, that heat won't penetrate the J.R. Gauntlets. They're armored every which way, what's not to like?
Go down to vanson. I just scored a pair of gauntlet style race gloves for $30. And they have some stuff that's cheaper too. (but it's imported).
ya i'm also in need of a warmer pair of gloves my mesh ones arnt cutting it. i'm planning on riding till it snows so i'm debating about getting heated grips
Heated grips only heat one side of your hands...the part that is usually warm...if you're really interested in riding in cold temps, get heated gloves.
yeah heated gloves/grips would be good but as of right now my hawk definitely needs more important things so if i'm going to spend the money it will be on a decent pair of gloves since as it was stated above, mesh gloves aren't the best for protection
I got grip heaters too... Like 20-30$ at any dirtbike shop. Well worth it.
I loved how warm heated gloves made my hands. You could probably ride threw the arctic with them. But hatted the extra bulk, the dangling wires, and the price is a bit steep.
When it gets to cold for the grips I bust out my muffs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motor...Q5fAccessories
They look stupid. But as far as your hands are concerned it equals win![]()

I ride year round (as long as no snow on the streets). A couple of years ago, I picked up a pair of snowmobile gloves - gauntlet style. Very comfortable, protection padding on the back, built in squeegee in the thumb to wipe off a visor, and lastly, a pocket on the back to put in a heat pack. Something like $50 from DennisKirk.com. Just go to the snowmobile section and look around.
I would say just pick up some glove liners if you don't plan on riding through the winter. If you do do winter riding I recommend the Alpinestar Goretex gloves. I rocked them all last winter and you are good for about an hour at highway speeds.

I have a pair of nice snowmobile gloves I rode with when I rode street in the fall/winter, I would be willing to sell them for 50 bucks
