Suit Liners

Is there any reason to keep the liner in the suit other than to be able to take it out and wash it? Is it necessary for any reason other than the funk factor?

Once it's in the right place, underarmor on liner slides on and off much better than underarmor on leather. I've had too many suit burns from no underarmor so I won't explore that path again. The liner also helps hold the armor in position in most suits.
