Nope. No rain for me. Hate it.
I'll ride rain or shine. It doesn't bother me. I've left in the pouring rain, I've also left the bike in the garage. It depends on how the day hits me.
If I had a nickel for every time I've ridden in the rain...

so, wheres the survey at?
:facepalm
I don't ride in the rain for fun. If I get caught in it, I will ride through most everything but a torrential downpour.
Better example, if i get up in the morning and its a steady rain, I'm not riding to work. If I get up in the morning and its doing anything but raining/snowing, i'm on the bike.
I was on 295 one day, right at the end where it splits to go 95N or 95S back to RI... South was beautiful... North was blacker than black.. huge thunderstorm... I said to myself "Well, you've never ridden in the rain" (this was a few years ago) So I decided to go north. As I started getting closer to this huge black storm it was like riding into the rapture... my stomach got all knotted up, and I said "WTF are you thinking about!?!?!. I soon realized helmets don't have wipers. I scared the shit outta myself. I rode through it, stopped at the rest stop and noticed I had left my sunglasses on, didn't put in my rain liner, etc...
So, I dried myself off in the bathroom hand dryer thingy, and rode right back through it on my way home.
I actually enjoy that rain you get in the summer where it's sunny out, but it's raining...
I commute to work in the rain, but I don't usually go out just to ride, in the rain. Since I commute in all weather, that was the deciding factor for me to get a bike with ABS. It's amazing how well ABS makes the bike behave when it's slick out!
Not if I can help it, but occasionally I'll get caught in a storm. I hardly ever get hit by "showers". It's either downpours with zero visibility or nothing.![]()
I've got caught in the rain before and it's not bad but it's not the best time in the world either. like most people I don't go out if it is pouring but will if there is less than a 50 - 40% chance it will rain and it looks good?
The worst is when a truck passes you and hits a foot deep puddle and totally soaks you like you got hit by the wake of a boat.
this is TRUE!! i did split early and i'm glad i didn't get stuck in that storm, it would have been brutal on the hour and half ride home.
I was upset i had to leave the races though.
it was raining when I left this morning to ride to work so I've already rode in the rain today. but the rain that came through Saturday wasn't just a little spitter like today, i've been caught in one of the bad storms, it wasn't fun at all.
EDIT: I think I just have a thing about getting my underwear wet, makes it feel like i got a poo in there! i have to get some rain gear then maybe i'll like it more! also scooting around Boston in a storm is a little different than getting on the highway in the sticks and going 75-80 in the rain and hydro planing. If i lived in Boston i think i would ride the rain all the time as long as i had the rain gear.

The only time I really don't like to ride is if it's snowing to hard.

I don't seek out riding in the rain, but if I have to I don't care.
I dont *enjoy* riding in the rain, but will do if needed. Not my choice to head out in if its pissing down, but if I have to get from A-B..
Only thing I really draw the line at is really really heavy fog, or ice
I rather not ride in the rain but if i'm already out, well can't help but ride in it...lol
anything is everything lets ride:

Greg your nuts man! you must have cojones of steel to ride in the snow like that! Do you have to ride special tires for this type of weather.
When I was 14 I had a scooter and took it out in the snow once, I went down and had to spend $400 to replace half the plastics cuz they just shattered into a million pieces...
Rain may slow me down, but I ain't gonna let it stop me!
On the cutting edge of mediocrity.
I'd rather not ride than ride in the rain. Have been caught in it too many times and they haven't been remotely good experiences. Never wrecked or anything, but getting caught in the rain without a rain suit and in full leather, nearly hypothermic in no time.
I've hydroplaned on bikes twice and both times I wasn't going very fast. That's some freaky shit right there. I felt the bike move about 6 inches to one side.
Rain blows! If I get stuck in it, I get kinda pissy. I try not to go out if it's gonna rain unless I can't resist the urge to sneak in a ride.
I gonna sound like a bitch but the biggest reason I hate the rain is because I have to clean the bike before I ride it next, as well as dry it off when I get home.
Atlanta to Baltimore in a downpour was enough for me.
I'll ride in the rain, but I'll be miserable doing it.![]()
Putting his hands in the air, like he just doesn't care.

I'll ride in it if its spotty or off and on. If I know it's coming down all day I'll stick to fun indoor activities:
i just rode today in the rain. the back wheel spins out of line under heavy acceleration, and i have very little confidence going into turns... but i'll ride in it if i have to.
