Are any of the axle keys 32mm??? Apparently I need one for the STM slipper clutch install.

    For serious?
Hmmm.. The Motion Pro tool everyone seems to have only goes to 24. 32 is big, son.

    That's not a bad idea. I just measured my Park BBT-22 and it's 32mm:

I would have made you a tool for free Paul. Always just ping me if you need a special tool. I have lots of stock, tooling and machinery, love to help fellow riders.

You should see the axles, nuts and other bits I've been making for Neil H (expat) for his 2 two-stroke projects bikes, all 316 stainless steel. I could post pix if you'd like.

Hey, Ken, I forgot you were out there. Nice offer. You've always helped me out in the past. I don't think the bottom bracket tool is expensive to replace, so no worries there.

    Cheers

Contact me via PM or e-mail.

Here's a couple photos of some of the parts I'd recently made for Neil.

Old stock ones next to the new stainless steel:

    A bit closer:

Finishing touches on the heads, the original ones were done via mass production cold header operation so I couldn't exactly duplicate, but came really close. He likes the little chamfer around the hex better than rounded-off look of the stock ones.

Close-up of an M14x1.5 6H thread, done with one turn of pullout so there would be no relief groove as a stress riser.

    Bunch of SS washers.

A spacer for one of the axles:

Recently modified one of his OE wheels to accept a different type of (right angle) Schraeder valve:

I'm just need cost of materials and perishable tooling covered for small personal projects. If trying to develop a commercial product, we'd have to talk.

That is some EXCELLENT work. Right now my goals are strictly personal, but that's not to say I don't have ideas that could sell... I'll put some notes together and PM you.

    Re: 32mm Hex??

    Thanks guys.

I've worked with 316SS for over 30 years so I've got a pretty good handle on it. What you see isn't the hardest of the work. I also make some larger diameter front axles (putting a GSX-R front end on an RZ350) and the challenge of making 12mm and 20mm holes through up to 12" of length was more of an issue. I my days of working in a shop it was a no-brainer with high-pressure coolant-thru spindles and solid carbide coolant fed drills up to 30xD deep. In my home shop I'm limited to flood coolant and extra-length parabolic flute HSS-Co drills and lots of peck cycle.

I got it done though, trying to find photos of them.

Regular 316 as far as I know. Neil supplied it.

    CBR929,

Sucks in what way? It is very corrosion resistant and polishes up better than 303. I've got all carbide insert and solid carbide tooling for turning and milling so it's cake for me. Even when I have to drill it I've got TiAlN coated HSS-Co drills that work great. Having all the years of experience with it makes for no problems machining it.
