Magnet or suction cup?
Using straps with nelson riggs bag...tied from front around steering head and rear around front seat mount
Thing keeps sliding left to right and bumps my arms
The seller recommended suction cups...but methinks they'll slide off

GOOD suction cups work. I've yet to see a bag come with good suction cups. If you have a metal tank, then I feel magnets are the best option, just be sure they are clean.
i'll sell you mine...$25. sold my bike, not sure when I'll be riding again and it's just sitting around. good deal. It's a Marsee magnetic. Had nothing but good experience with it...it's expandable, zippered side pockets and has a detachable front pouch with belt clips. In great shape. and it stays in place, no probs. I live in Waltham...
I've got a Nelson Riggs bag that's gotta be a least 12 years old with magnetic mount and I've not had any problems with the mount. On the other hand the zippers are shot from over stuffing the thing. My next one is going to be magnetic mount too.
I've had the same magnetic on 3 bikes and its worked great.
good shit...thanks fellas
also - I have a plastic tank shell, gonna have to glue magnets on the inside
still better than suction cups?

I have the bags connection setup. Works great and keeps the bag off the paint. I've got a couple of bags..... A small one for day trips and a larger one for weekends.
