anyone ever do it or partially I"m stuck in a 3 day team meeting and after 3 cups of coffee I"m daydreaming( thought I"d liek to do this and probably on the xr650r or possibly a xr400r, bu tneed to get more comfortable on the bike and trail side repairs

Sounds like fun - you'll need buckets of free time to run the whole thing.

I forget the name but there is a baby TAT or something similar - it runs from western Ma to Canada. I bet someone here has run it - similar deal where you are mostly dirt.

It's been a dream of mine since I started riding ADV bikes, but as I understand it you definitely need a true dual sport, not an ADV bike. You also have to be pretty comfortable with navigating on your own, as many of the sections will close randomly for roadwork, storms or access issues.

There is LOADS of information on the teams America trail trail on adv.

It's on my bucket list, but I ain't got that kind of time in life right now.

I"m really still lanning thsi, beginning stage but planning it. I'm a little bored of " backpacking kayaking, whitewater rafting...." this looks like it will fit the bill

Thinking the xr650r with an e start will fit the bill nicely( little on the heavy side) but doable

You could check out the Trans Mass Trail TMT for starters, to see how you like it (you will), and the Puppy Dog Route (VT) and the Hamster Route (NH). I rode the TMT a few years ago on my KLR 650, fun easy ride. Lots of info on ADVRIDER. A friend recently rode to West VA via the Trans Eastern Trail TET.

My good friend just finished riding it east to west on an XT500 hardtailed bobber. Two years ago a group of my friends rode it west to east on Honda Trail 90's with Lifan motors. Use whatever you have.
