Wondering if anyone has recommendations for a local tailor to mate a pair of Syed pants to a Vanson jacket.
I'm assuming they need nothing special other than the correct zippers and possibly a connecting strip of some sort. Lost my Vanson (EDIT: spandex) piece.
I haven't spoken to any local tailors yet, can anyone do this work you think?
Any info is appreciated!

The zipper hospital on the corner of main and stoneland rd in good old Woosta. That's main south just past McD's
They do great work cheap, and fast.

perfect, thanks doods! talked to vanson today, going to snag another zipper/spandex piece then just have the local shop sew to the Syeds.

I have been meaning to put together a thread like Red's, but never got to it.
The place has been around for as long as I can remember and does great work. Last time in they started taking the old zipper off while I was still in the store.

Carbonneau's Shoe Store on Grafton Street also does that kind of thing. My nephew is working at, and soon be the owner of Central Shoe Repair (Central Street Worcester) and I'm encouraging him to latch onto the M/C market because he's got all the right machines for it.
When my wife broght a "dress" leather jacket to Zipper Hospital to have the front zipper replaced, it was only OK quality. They used what I consider to be a "2nd rate" zipper, because it's nowhere near as smooth as the original or a YKK.

just to update this thread, the Zipper Hospital rocked. i supplied the Vanson parts so there was no question there but the quality of work is perfect, double-stitched, quick and clean. picked the pants up the next day, ready to rock.
i'd use 'em every time from now on![]()
