I’m looking for a pair(s) of dedicated riding pants. I used a pair of Draggin jeans at the end of last season, but as I plan to ride a lot more this year I want to improve my gear.
I’m primarily looking for textile 3 season (April – October) and/or summer pants (either over-pants or stand-alone). Preference would be for an American cut or brands with larger sizes available (46-48).
Any suggestions?
I'm wearing TourMaster Venture Air pants. They are mesh, but not the cheap-shit mesh. So far I like them although I have less than a full year on them so far. I wore them today (temps leaving in the high 30's) with both the wind/rain and thermal liners in plus my jeans underneath and was comfortable. For the ride home I plan to pull the thermal liners and be comfortable with just the wind/rain liner.
I would strongly consider the Caliber pants too, especially if you have something else for warmer weather already.
I'm considering a pair of 'draggin' jeans for less formal rides.
I tried Olympia Air Glide pants. They were way too long, but supposedly come that way intentionally; you are supposed to hem them. I couldn't get the knee pucks where I needed them.
I am short and not exactly narrow.

I have the TourMaster Caliber pants and I really like them. They've got an inner liner you can use in cold weather riding. I wear them without the liner over Carhartt lined jeans in cold weather and they're great. I think they would be a little toasty in the summer though like nhbubba stated.
Looked at the Tourmaster site. While the pants would seem to be what I am looking for, unfortunately they dont have anything above a waist size 44.
First Gear makes some pants to 48.

Anyone have any experience with Vanson Vent or Odyssey pants?
