I'm curious what Tony will do with that. What suspension bits GMD will add to the cost.

to echo bubba, the whole point of this style bike is to explore and find the treasures. you'll def get recommendations over time, like what's already happing in this thread, or review an area on a map, look for the smaller curvy stuff, then branch off when you see cool dirt roads. there is tons of great stuff west of you that would make for fantastic day rides. i miss those rides on the sumo.
EDIT: Chip said it better. +1

One of the best days I ever had in the saddle was when I had a day to get from Heath MA to Montpelier. I started the morning just taking left turns and went from there
I think we’ve struck at the root of it; buy the BWM Aria. I think you can add “adventure” as a factory equipped accessory![]()
I went to MMI I know what Im doing here chief

I like it. Especially from that angle
The difference here is most of you live in areas that are somewhat near these roads. I am a suburb dweller. Not a dirt road in sight and I get lost just looking for these towns!

That being said...I am going to give it a go I think

Here’s the Northeast regional section of ADV rider.

Join and do some serious poking around there, I’m sure there’s a few Mass riders threads. I’ve joined a few guys recently for dualsport rides around CT, rode some cool roads I never would’ve found on my own.

Hah, I live in the center of town across from an elementary school. The closest dirt road, of which is just a section, is probably 6-7 miles away, headed out towards Rochester.
I can take you around a good sorta countryside/dirt road mild trail loop down here in cranberry country in the spring. It’s sandy, so it drains off pretty quick; aka no mud season.

I’ll probably do a little commuting and I am so used to having bags. What would you recommend for a bag solution? Don’t want side cases, but would not be opposed to racks with soft bags or rackless soft bags.
May get a top case to house my work stuff and double as a backrest for the girlfriend, that way I can just remove it when not in use.
