Watch out on 495 and Rt 3 this spring.....
I am usually good about watching out for cops and picking my moments, but failed miserably on 495 Saturday.
Was clocked bu a drk blue charger with Chrome wheels...undercover unit, tinted windows and all......wrote me for 90-95 in a 65, but did not site me for wreckless driving. I could not see him in my mirrors, and could not hear the siren.
He was going to site me for loud pipe, but could not since it is factory stock. I was very respectful and he calmed somewhat...even thanked him for the ticket and shook his hand....My fault, I know it, ...total for ticket is $275.00...but at least it was not a suspension.

There is a huge presence on Rt 3 and 495 these days. Lots of undercovers an chase cars... they are tageting sport bikes now....I had a minivan riding right next to me, but the soccer mom got away clean, cause he was watching me.... but no matter....
Just making me re-evaluate riding the 10r .... may be too much of a temptation...I am switching back to the harley for the next couple weeks.

what time? was he AT the loop somewhere? they're usually around morning. at noon they gotta be eating lunch. Sunday late afternoon is one of their favorite time everywhere. they're usually red laser. one beautiful sunday few weeks ago, i saw a beautiful blue laser light. i have video somewhere.

got laser tag one time in a car. my detector screamed but i didn't speed and i exited befor ei got to him.

Yeah, he was all over it until I showed him the factory stamp....at least they did not impound and suspend my license...

I checked the ticket, and does not state suspension of license, so pretty comfortable with paying the fine and moving on...cant afford to lose the license at this point.

I could not hear the car or see him in my mirrors until he came within 5 feet of my back tire...then flashed up...
He was mad that I could not hear him, and stated that maybe I should get a better helmet?
I told him that Shoei is one of the more respected helmet companies, not wearing ear plugs, that wind infiltration has an impact on hearing from behind. He was pretty good about it, he was mad, but did not take it out on me. Might have helped that I was as old as he was and have a clean record..

But still may be looking to sell the 10R.....got me addled at the moment.

...seems everything you do, not you, pisses them off. the fact that you make them work pisses them off. last time i got stop he cut me off short almost ran me into the barrier. he gets out of the car fast with hands on the gun. jesus fuckin christ. if i was a cop of cop i would rape them.

yup I here you Kham...its just that I am getting to thinking that a track might be the best place...no doubt if I had wanted to be an asshole, I could have lost him in short order.
But it was my bad, and I dont have a problem with them doing their jobs.

Just had a lot on my mind that day, was not paying attention, and got caught up in the need for speed.

I just have this feeling that the shit is about to hit the fan.....overr the years I have seen them target the sport bikes more and more, and this year seems especially hard. First ticket in 9 years, so .....meh....

can't win them so im toning down this yr too. i don't feel like riding at all. i would have ridden many miles by now already. today there's no shortage of sportbike siting on rt3. i hate rte3.

but thats ok... will just mean that I save the bike this year to ride that much longer.

I hate rt 3 as well...but 495 is now worse...they dont enforce a speed limit there for 4 years, then they want to play enforcer.... does not make sense unless they do it just 4 money...shit the road is a piece of crap even a turd would not want to land on..... with all the money this state takes in they should have highways as smooth as glass!!!

Cops always seem to come out in full force with speed traps when the weather gets nice. Definitely have to be careful.
