Seriously I would chalk this up as a success story getting it down from $420 to 260.
Did they drop some of the charges (license plate & headphones) or just reduce the speed? Do you end up with a buttload of points cause you have all 3 charges?
To the cop I'm sure what you were doing looked totally assinine since you're going right past someone's front yard which could have had playing kids in it.

at the fact it was in a residential area. Which is the reason I dont speed through those areas.
Imagine yourself as a parent with a few little kids of your own, and they are playing in your front yard, and some fucking jackass on a 500lb machine goes blowing past your house, and possibly within a few feet of your children going 70mph.
Personally, I dont like that thought, I'd be pissed.
The license plate was dropped since I brought pictures showing I corrected it. The speeding was lowered cause I said I was going 55 not 75. So they accessed my fine that way. I could have appealed but then I could have lost and paid 420. I am just gonna suck it up. I know I was wrong. As far as houses. There are some but its not a street that parent let thier kids play in. I mean if you think about it, there are houses on a lot of fun roads. You just dont think about that cause you are having fun.

i understand, but it's not really about "parents shouldn't be letting their kids play in a street like that". it's more about how there's a greater risk of hitting someone in a residential area. i know i'd be devastated if i hit some poor little kid even if i was not at fault at all. just the fact that i know it could happen is enough of a reason for me to keep my speeds down in areas like that.
i don't want to get all preachy.. you seem to understand.
