Geeze....Kawi is still making bikes?? Who knew?
I dont think the US is gonna get the 300 or the 400 really but time will have to tell.

I use to have brochures (in Japanese even) for the ZX-4RR back in the day. I wished they all brought more of the 400's to the USA back then, all I-4's too.
I'm still holding out for the resurgence of the RGV250 and 500 in the US
Anyone have experience with buying a bike in another country and then registering it here?
Just like the article stated, the fact that those models shows up on the USA EPA document doesn't mean they will be avaliable in US. Most likely the 400 will remain a Canadian only model which they've been selling since 2011?
It is likely the 300 and the 636 will be a USA model to replace the 250 and 600. Kawi's strategy is clear, 1 up everyone on cc to boost sales. The fact that a homologation special of the 636 with a "599cc" engine is not present could mean that you won't see any middle weight Ninja in pro level racing.
What punch said.

It came with a freaking slipper......clutch......REALLY??????
A slipper is a bonus side effect from a 'servo assist' clutch setup to reduce clutch lever stiffness via weaker clutch springs. The same mechanism that tightens up and clamps harder when you romp on it conveniently also backs off when you bang an agressive downshift without any design changes, so why not advertise that as a feature?
Duc did the same thing when they put APTC clutches on the 695/696, I don't think they advertised the slipper aspect though initially, but racers figured it out real quick.
what's so great about a 400cc sport bike?
I rode a 400cc bike before...it rode like an underpowered 600cc bike
