Saw this posted on a reddit and the guy says its helped track down two thieves. Obviously it's not fool proof but is it not a decent idea?

Neat, easy enough that its probably worth trying. But I suspect you're opt going to catch crackheads. Any pro won't be doing business at joe's corner shop.

I have a labeler that I use to stick my name and phone to all my wheels. It is a good idea especially for the track when you have spare wheels loose in the pits.

That's genius. I'll be hitting my wheels with the label maker next time I swap skins. Just in case anyone gets ideas in their head about stealing any my highly desirable rides.
You might put additional stickers in places such as under the seat, bottom side of the fuel tank, inside the airbox, etc.

I can see doing this if you have PM chicanes/Marvics/Marshesinis etc. Stock wheels?
Meh.
I think the point is that wheels are sometimes attached to bikes.
I do like this idea. I'm not sure I should do it. I know I wouldn't "fix" this before selling the bike. I don't commonly answer phone calls from numbers I don't know. If the changer didn't leave a message I'd probably never know.
If you aren't like me do this. I love the idea.
If my motorcycle were recently stolen, I might be more apt to answer the strange phone calls.
Fair point.
