So I found a bike to buy but the owner said that when he registered the bike in NH they kept the title. He put in the paperwork to get a new title issued but it's supposed to take a few weeks. Does anyone know anyway to expedite the process? I was hoping to have the bike last weekend so i'm in a hurry to get it.
That's an oxymoron. Hoping a state agency will move any quicker...
In my experience though, it only takes a week or two to get a copy of a title. Can't understand why the state would keep a title though. Does he still owe money on it?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
what year is it? if it is older than a 95 you can blue slip it, just go to the town hall get a vin verification form, have the police come run the vin, fill out the form. then bring it to the town hall and register it with the blueslip.
Its an 2001, guess i'll have to wait it out
I'd DEFINITELY wait until he can sign the title over to you before you exchange payment...

the 3 titles I have processed in the last year at town offices all were back in my mailbox in less than 2 weeks. I dont think there is a way to expidite it once the process is started. If you could both go to concord they may be able to do something for you there.
AND
What stoneman said!
If you are brave enough to pay him before you have title you could get temp plate with bill of sale and his old registration I think.
