Also, this bike won bike of the year in 96 and its a 95. Yamaha made one hell of a bike when they made it. Has to be something good for me to still love the style and feel of it.

That said AND....technology has not relegated 10 y/o bikes to the scrap heap yet. What has occured over the last 10 years is simply a more focused direction for sportbikes. Most riders can not discern between a stiction coatings and radial brakes anyway. That FZR is a 170 mph machine. If that's a slouch, I'm giving up riding.
