Boy, I hope someone gives us the low-down on today's adventure!
LRRS\CCS\WERA #486
I am sure we will get plenty of reports on it. I just hope it has stayed dry for them..
Well it's pouring buckets here, they're probably an hour and a half north but I can't see it being sunny there...
http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KLCI.html
says .59 inches of precipitation in the last hour...
too bad.
The only "intuitive" interface is the nipple.
well at least its warm out, ridin fast in the rain Makes you really smooth![]()
I have a newfound (false?) confidence in the rain.
We got 1 session on a dry track and 2-3 in the rain before they closed the track due to one of the turns getting washed out or something.
We were all sliding around, etc.. Oh well, at least it was the right place to do it!

Man I started out to come watch around 11:00, it was raining so hard I couldn't see cars 40 feet in front of me with their lights on, so I gave up, figure'd you guys'd be done before I even got there.Next time

"Balls," I said. "Never mind the track. The track is for punks. We are Road People. We are Cafe Racers."

9:40 - follow the leader
10:40 - dry, full speed
11:40 - somewhat slow, slightly wet
12:40 - real rain had started, very slippery
So I only counted that as 1 since follow the leader was so slow.
Still lots of fun and I know I figured out a few new things even though it could have been a whole lot better.

I had a great time on the track. I got 80.0 miles on the bike today even with the rain. Not bad. It was cut short but it was still a good time.
If any of the corner workers read this I would like to thank you all for hanging out in the rain. you guys were wet and i was having fun and staying dry.
Hope everyone had a good time like me. :-) Can't wait to see the picture JCGrly!
thanks guys

I also had a great time, even though the weather didn't cooperate. I got in two full sessions, plus the FTL session while it was still dry. The rain session was scary ,but fun at the same time. Even got do a little offroading, with minor crash/drop.
BIG THANKS goes out to Tony, the cornerworkers and the rest crew for making these great events happen, I can't wait till next season.

I had a blast and I am hooked, cant wait till next year for more!
I got lots of track time, the rain was fun, I was totally sideways turning onto the straight out of 12 twice through 1st and second gear. I just held the bars straight and prayed for it to hook up, and it did both times! Turn 2 was very slick in the rain along with 3, eveything else felt great.
Degs thanks for the escort around, that was a nice quick pace, I felt really good out there!!
Thanks to Ken, Tony And SD for everything today, even thought the day got cut short I had a blast! Nice to meet everyone! Got to put more faces to names, I just hope I can remember tham all!!
Anybody have any suggestions or remarks on my riding if anyone saw? If I am going to improve I need info if you have any? I was on the red/white/blk Yamaha with the checkered tail and white strip up the front?

Sounds like a shortie, also sounds like a lot of track time and a lot of happy campers.
There's nothing like a good rip on the track to help you improve as a rider!

It was awesome to meet and see all of you....hopefully next time I will be on the track myself...if not..I like doing cornerwork..and luckily my lunch break was before it started to pour!
Getting back into the game! Looking for my next bike!
Hey, I posted this on the other thread, but this one's more active, so here it is again.
Big thanks to Degsy for helping that woman get her bike fixed for the ride home. Taking parts off your racebike was beyond the call.![]()
To the Dude on the Red and white Yam. I was watching you from turn three during the rainy lunch session. (I'm instructor on the 728 racebike) I know the conditions were iffy, so kudos to you just for being out there.
If I have one suggestion for your next trackday, it would be to smooth out you're throttle inputs. Maybe even short shift the bike while you're getting to know the track. Roll off the throttle instead of chopping it. Focus on smooth braking and corner entry. Bring the corner speed up first, then add full throttle/braking later. Have fun!!!
TULLY! You didn't tell me you are doing penguin on the Motard. Rock on!
