Hey, moved here (Boston/Somerville) from NY in Sept. Currently have my bike reg/insured in NY for around 380/yr with theft protection. It looks like its going to be around 900/yr in MA for me.
I was wondering who you guys use and how much you pay. (97 Honda 600 F3)
Also, I was wondering if there was anyone local that has a Carb sync tool and possibly some know how that wouldn’t mind showing me how to even her up
Insurance in MA is pricey. 900 for full coverage doesn't sound too horribly bad if you're a new rider.
For the carb sync, shoot a PM to TLRMan... He's a Shady Tree Mechanic that's been wrenching on bikes for longer than I've been alive. He can sync up your carbs for ya while you watch & tell ya stories from "back in the day" for cheap money.

Insurance in MA can be pricey if you do not meet the 6 yr motorcycle and auto license time frame after that and with no points being deducted you will spend far less.
My 02 RC 51 this year with full coverage, $1000 deductable and being mostly maxed out on the coverages is only $380. It is the lowest it has ever been. Shop around for prices!
I'm past the 6 year mark for automobile, just under 3 years on two wheels (I think). $580 fully insured for my 2006 SV650, with a TON of coverage (probably more than I need).
Not sure but the April 1st insurance reform may bring prices down a bit. It may be only passenger vehicles. Anyone know further details on that??
