Trackday...the events after the fact

I've been on such a high I almost forgot what happened on the way home.

After having dinner with the crew, I hit the highway and soon after decided to make a quick stop at the NH Liquor Store rest stop to recycle the cold beer before hitting the road in earnst. Mind you, I was traveling alone. I parked the van with trailer in tow and ran in for a quick minute. When I came out, I was not really paying much attention to who was around me but as I approached my trailer I notice my bright orange straps on the pavement.

First thought, shit, they rubbed something and broke, holy shit, good thing I stopped huh? Second thought, shit, if they had done that, how'd both ends end up on the pavement next to my trailer not on Rte 93? Upon inspection...the fuckers were cut!!

Now, I'm thinking holy fuck, good thing I pee quick and good thing I carry extra tie downs (otherwise one of you fuckers would have had to come save my ass)!! Then I realize, oh great, here I am alone in this rest stop in the dark trying to secure my bike for the 2 and a half hour ride home. Boy must I look like an easy target.

I was not bothered and I got myself outta there quickly but damn......

Moral of my story.....pee quickly

Seeing that you were following us and the time, you should have got on the damn cell and said, "hey , I need a pit stop" and I would have pulled in with you and waited. If it's the same situation next time you better get off your ass and give us a heads up. No need for you to travel alone if you don't have to.

Next time, though, get in your van and lock the doors and call the police, so the prick doesn;t jump you while you re-roping your bike.

Thank you Jim, I know you and Tracy would have saved me had I needed it. But, I did not intend on needing help or this happening and traveling alone is not something that bothers me.

you know...not to raise eye brows here....but facts are facts

your a girl riding all alone...and rest stops are notorious for people to be casing other folks stuff - though I am surprised this happened at that stop - as I recall that's pretty well lighted
