trackday schmutz minimization

hey guys, buddy of mine from work is gonna do the 5/19 trackday, and was wondering what was a good tape to use that wouldn't leave a whole lotta goop on his lights & stuff.

ideas?
i thought maybe electrician's tape would leave less residue than duct tape...

yeah, well, i've tried to get him on the board, but he's apparently scared of the internet, or something.

hey, at least i got him to go to the trackday, right? so if ya see some guy named steve on an older YZF 600R (pre-R6) tell him i said he's a pigfucker.

I don't remember the tape leaving much goop at all on my bike.

Just don't stick it on your exhaust or something else hot.

And pull the fuse for the lights after you tape them as well. (Maybe the tape melts if you leave them plugged in?)

The lamps will overheat and blow if you leave the lights on behind tape.
