Hi folks-
I'm searching for a new jacket online, but for something like this I *really* need to go try it on first. But- where to go? There are so few dealers out there with gear in stock...its annoying. I've been to Vanson, and I've ordered stuff through Bettencorts before but now I'm up in the Boston area and need something closer by. Anyone know of any dealers that have a good selection of jackets and the such in stock?? If this is a repost I apologize profusely...please kindly link me to the previous post, thanks![]()
Check out Brockton Cycle. They dont have everything, but they have a pretty good selection in their showroom, plenty of stuff to try on.
The last time I went by riverside in somerville, they had enough stuff to figure out what fits. They don't pressure you there either.
hey cool, thanks guys
Where ever you go, if you are going to try stuff on there, please make your purchase there. If you just go in for the purpose of trying something on that you plan to order somewhere else, soon you will find that there will be nowhere to buy anything.
Most dealers will give you the same 10% discount that amount to the advertised prices online. By buying from your local dealer, you will encourage them to keep these items instock and continue to forfill your needs.
If you want great customer service and a wide selection of gear instock, go to MotoMarket in Acton.
I haven't had much experience with the Boston area, but if you ever find yourself in the Concord, NH area, Freedom Cycle has a great selection of women's gear, and they are superb to work with. I have bought almost all my stuff from them. Actually, now that they have merged with Concord Cycle, I have bought all my gear from them...just not my bike....

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Wow! I would have missed that without the heads up. Back ontopic, MotoMarket has the largest selection of ladies gear I have ever seen.but how come the leg humpers havent been all over this new member. anyone see that profile picture?
Motomarket has great service and probably the best selection of gear locally. They're still relatively small, but they have all the basics. I ended up having to order online anyway because I couldn't get my size there. They're worth checking out anyway.

Sign me up for a ride to motomarket, I've been trying to get out there for a few weeks now. Good selection of hard to find stuff.
eboos- I totally hear you. I ordered my A* boots and gloves through bettencorts when I lived that way, its great because 1) they pay for the shipping! and 2) I get to try them on, and they offered to send anything back for size exchange, free of charge! Its totally worth it to order through a dealer, I do it as often as I can.
I didn't want to post about her profile pic because I wanted to keep the secret all to myself.
She's definitely at the top of my list.

I saw the pic and just chocked it up to some guy who took a pic or a pretty girl on his bike, my bad.
Definitely go with the little guy when you can, places are dropping, don't even know exactly what happened to southshore motorsports and don't want to see other places drop too.
I will have to check out motomart, I need a perf jacket.
I'd utterly reccomend Motomarket - good stuff, and more importantly, great staff.
+1 on MotoMarket relaxed sales environment and they are extremely helpful and carry top end brands.![]()
I piss excellence!
"Moto Market is also a cafe where you can meet other riders and enjoy tasty refreshments. Make us your next ride destination!" - motorcycle gear?? tasty refreshments?? I'm so there![]()
oh hah meeting other riders sounds like fun too (but really I just want my jacket and tasty refreshments)
that raises a good point....odds are they won't have my size on hand (small)- so whats the point in going there if all I get to try on are mediums and larges? and if I ordered through them anyway it would just have to be delivered to my house anyway because Acton is like an hour away and I'm not sure if I'm too keen on making multiple trips. but they do have tasty refreshments....
They carry sizes small enough to fit my wife who is 4'11" and 90lbs. Trust me, your trip will not be wasted.
