I have a 696 with the full racing package (termi, ecu, air filter) and it backfires more on engine braking. This is normal. Try the standard package first. You will be pleasantly surprised by the sound of the stock pipes. Also, if you ride a lot in the city you will notice the gearing is very high. On my 696 I have a different sprocket in the front which helps in the city. Good luck with your 796! I am jealous! It has a couple of benefits over the 2009 696 that I have.
I've been told there isn't a pc3 for the 796 yet? Any truth to that?
I might just go with the termi slip on/ecu upgrade/air filter kit at first anyways and do a dyno tune later down the line.
Also plan on going down one on the front sprocket.

Like Ted said. See rob at robs dyno for an ecu remap. The days of the power commander are numbered.
We are a Dynojet tuning center. We also know how to make a 696/796 or any other Ducati run pretty well![]()
Well as part of the delivery process you will get a "walk around" at the shop and get introduced to everybody. I think you spoke with Jesse last week about your options. The Ducati Performance/ Termignoni set up is hard to beat. I'm not sure if you spoke to him about motor mods and such as well but for track use start with the full system exhaust/ECU and suspension. As Jeff Wood showed at the end of last year they do pretty well. I think Scott Greenwood rode the same 696 to second place in Daytona.
