Todd went down today in westford. Classic lady taking a left from a side street I'm at Emerson right now in concord. He's good gear did the job, except for jeans... Gettin a few threads stitched in his knee right now an maybe a midol or two . Be careful out there people are not expecting us out there. Bike is totaled I heard. I'm sure he'll chime in later

That blows. Hope the lady was cited! Glad Twheat is 'okay'.
Boston --> San Diego
heal up quick dude!
nine times out of ten its an electric razor, but...every once in a while...its a dildo. of course its company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo, we have to use the indefinite article "a" dildo ...and not..."your"...dildo...
I'm not worried... Twheat's too stupid to know how to get hurt!
In all seriousness, glad it's just a couple stitches and some sand in his vagina. My buddy's '09 CBR1000RR was just wrecked less than a month ago out in San Diego by the exact same scenario... tweaked his knee a bit, but he's good to go. Drivers aren't expecting to see bikes on the road this time of year, regardless of what part of the country you're riding in.
What streets were involved? Just curious since the only accidents I've had in the last 6 or 7 years were in Westford and in nearly the same spot.
Yup, went down about 2:30 yesterday afternoon. I got the itch to go out when i saw the rain clear up an 55 on the thermometer. Other than some pools of standing water and the occasional collection of sand the roads weren't bad at all really. I had been out about 45 mins riding from Wilmington to Westford via 129 and 225. I took a left from Boston Rd onto Main st behind 2 SUV's. The 2 SUV's then both took right hand turns onto Graniteville Rd. A car pulling out of Graniteville Rd (taking a left) never saw me behind the SUV's. She pulled out, I made a move to the left, but between a bit of target fixation (scared as to what her next move was) and too much front brake i tucked the front. I went sliding square into her front bumper and the bike slammed into her door or quarter panel. My head took the brunt of the impact with her car but my helmet did its job thank god. My leg really hurt but my head hitting her bumper scared the shit out of me. I got up but couldnt really stand, I made it to the snow bank on the side of the road and chilled out waiting for an ambulance. X rays of my neck and leg came back good. Nothing broken just a laceration across my left knee cap and some crazy swelling on my left leg. The swelling is already considerably better today.
As for the bike I'm sure its a goner. I didnt really look at it much I was more concerned with my head and leg at the time. I can't believe how much flac I got about riding yesterday. So many comments about what were you doing out its December. This scenario could have played out in June or December. I just think people are far less apt to notice bikes on the road this time of year.
Anyway thanks for the words. I'll be back in action soon. Thank god I bought a dirty bike this fall. Now for the ICE!!!!!!!![]()

Shit man, you were about a mile from my house. I was out yesterday too. Glad you were OK. That road usually isn't that bad I go through that intersection 2x a day...
Heal up.
Shit glad you made it out ok and hope you recover quick. The roads were really nice yesterday indeed. Glad you made it out and lived to tell. Hope she got cited for it and you get a new steed![]()

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Glad you're OK (mostly OK anyway). That's a tough intersection, I go through it most every day on my home home from work. Drivers definitely focus on the traffic ahead you turning right. I've had a few cars pull out in front of me there. Now I create a huge gap between me and the cars ahead of me, keep my speed pathetically slow, cover clutch and brakes, and weave a bit when approaching that corner. Once past that street it's a nice little road.
There's a lot of great riding this time of year. I don't blame you for getting the bike out, sorry it didn't end well - but that could have happened anytime that corner.

Someone had to have the last one of the year...!!!! Glad it was fairly minor!
Heal up! Next year is almost here!
