WOW!
I'm not a Motard fan, but that might be my next addition to the family......right next to the 996![]()
Leave it to Ducati.
I'm not a fan of V-Twins or Motards, but Ducati has me owning
a V-Twin and looking into this Tard
That bike looks awesome!

nice!
It's way too heavy to be a true tard, but, it's a freakin cool bike nonetheless.

I dig it...
I agree it's a bit on the portly side, but it looks like fun...
I've been eye-ing this little number, too... doubt it'll make it to the US, though. It's a 77-degree twin available in 450 and 550CC configurations. I'd take a Sawz-All to the back fender, though... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:

I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but the Ducati Hyper Motard is just a concept. There is a link somewhere on the Ducati website that brings you to a questionnaire where you can tell them if you would rather see this bike with:
-single sided swingarm and the liquid cooled 999 motor
-single sided swingarm and the air cooled 1000
-double sided swingarm and the air cooled 800
-double sided swingarm and the air cooled 620
**EDIT**
found the link

I personally think its ugly. I'd much rather see the Aprilia hit the States
If anyone is interested, the Hyper Motard has been pretty heavily discussed on the Ducati Monster board

2004 Yamaha FZ6 (Naked....mmmmmmm) (FOR SALE!!!! CONTACT ME FOR INFO!)
2004 Mini Cooper - Deal's Gap tested and approved
Guys on sportbikes are so hot....until they take their helmet off. Just leave the damn thing on already!
Beware the counterfeit Mini!
I like the idea of the duc, but to me it seems like it would be kind of big in size to be considered a true motard, but more like a Superduke 990.
Looking at it more, it looks moreso like an adventure bike with supersport tires and without the hangers for hard bags.
If that bike could be setup to be good for track, have decent luggage and be somewhat OK to ride for a full day trip, that could be an excellent all-around kind of bike.

I'll take either, but I think I like the duc better.

I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
I love the looks of the bike. I don't think the tires are capable of dual sporting though.
In any event.............I think I could find something ta chrome on it.![]()

Life is a challenge. You can take the risk and experience it, or sit back and watch it go by. I choose to experience it. (W.L.Heath)
Fear is the incubated subjective perception of the inevitable.
After tearing ass throught the gap on TheIglu's KLR I am seriously thinking about a Motard.
I was on JennB's 600rr and couldn't shake Clayton through the gap. Top it off he was running knobbies. All you hear coming around a corner is the howl of knobbies and the thump of that single 650..........tapped out in second WHOA

Yeah... The Duc isn't really a 'tard, b it looks like a frickin blast. I'd definitely be looking to ride the Aprilia before seriously considering buying one... not sure how I'll feel about the small-bore twin. I just love the way big-bore singles make power... that's a huge part of the motard appeal, Dunno, though... never ridden a small twin![]()
