Jesus... Now I'm really worried. Mine is actually fast compared to that air-cooled, 2-valve POS of yours...

What did you put on for rearsets? That's the next thing to dump money on.

And my tip of the week... never enter a blind corner going so fast that you cannot stop in time for a line of cars stopped cause of the motorcycle that crashed up ahead. DOH!

Just because it's the middle of July on a nicely paved clean twisty road, never assume you'll come around the next blind corner and the road won't be a fucking beach (July 2008) FACK riding home 100 miles with a broken left hand sucks.

Remember to bend the locking tab on the drive sprocket nut. Eventually, it falls off on the highway somewhere. The sprocket stays on, until you haul through an off-ramp. At which point, the chain will fall off and you'll keep revving the piss out of it while stomping the shifter thinking it's a false neutral.

That's how I learned AAA doesn't tow bikes, and paid $120 to have it flat bedded literally up the street home... I would have pushed it, if it wasn't all up hill. Shortly after, I learned what AMA coverage is. In retrospect, I should have walked home, came back with some tools and duct tape.

When you buy a track bike make sure you know which shift pattern the bike has before going on the track..

Always carry a spare set of skivees (aka crimefighters) for such incidents.

I believe they were scooby doo!

I have one to add to the list:

When riding a 785lb full dresser 1989 Yamaha venture with original tires in the wet do not grab a handful of brake while leaned over on a white line.

    That is all.

Traffic violations are not punishable by death unless the rider chooses to sentence himself to such a fate.
