I just got a vanson's wash and re-dye done...and although I don't really like the layout of the lettering, I'm pretty happy with the overall clean up. It pretty much loosk like the way it did when it was new.
the silver outline is actually 3M reflective material...hi vis, anyone?
I bought it brand new, for $250 a few years ago, but it originally had "DNR" on the back, so all the nurses and MD's on my rotations had a field day on me, because also means "do not resuscitate."
Commuting on it for about 9 months after I finished college, it just looked dirty all the time.
so after graduating, getting licensed, and getting a job, I decided to gift myself and get it re-done...and I friggen love it.
I know, I know...not as dirty as you "real" racers...but I guess I just like good looking street gear. My dirt bike gear, on the other hand is f'ing filthy...and I like it better that way.
the 2" nylon strap on my carrier bag just wore through the dye...

Nice
Along with the price ,
How long did it take from start to finish ?
Beat It Like A Rented Mule !!
Legend in my own mind
it's going to vary in price...they originally quoted me $175 by email for the wash and dye alone, but I think that price changed when I actually showed up, and I did more than a wash and re-dye so mine was even more still.
I had them remove the DNR stitching, put a patch over it, re-stitch the "RPH", add the 3M reflective material as a thin outline, I added armor in the pants, stitched in the velcro for kneepucks, bought kneepucks from them, added a coat hook, and added Dr. Patel to the front.
I asked about getting a brand new fitted suit and they said it would be upwards of $2,000, so considering that the suit has never been down and had no holes, I just did the wash and re-dye for a lot less
they said it would take a month, but I dropped it off in the last week of January and got it back last night (April 7th)

Can a white suit be died black?
That might stop the Mr StayPuff jokes I get.
“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
I called today and they said they don't re-dye full suits...if you wanted a section done, they could probably cut it out and re-stitch it, but even then, it'll be expensive
