Boy I wish I had a racefit growler now. 130db, yummy.

So they stick a baton down the can huh? you see that perforated tube officer? that IS the baffle. At least a race slipon still has a glass packed canister, and isn't a real straight pipe.

Kinda currious to know what my M4 makes for db. It's a 12" shorty can. I don't think it's too loud. Doesn't even come close to Hindle, D&D and Micron.

NH Law specifically requires a muffler and defines a muffler as a device with baffles and chambers to reduce noise. If it doesn't have baffles or chambers, it's not a muffler. Straight Pipes are illegal and I believe there is a specific statute outlining that. If not than i'm sure there is an Saf-c in the motor vehicle rules for inspections of vehicles.

Motorcycles in NH, if you can meet the 106 db limit using the "A" scale on a meter, @ 2800rpm on a single or twin, or @ 3500 rpm for tripples + , with a straight pipe, then you can get a sticker

Good thing the collector on my headers has a chamber and 'baffles' : )
