Does anyone know of any riding gloves that are actually "waterproof" and not just "water resistant"? I have a pair of so call waterproof Teknic gloves but after a few hours of hard rain my hands are soaked. Does anyone have a pair of gloves that they've thoroughly tested in the rain? I've been on trips where I have ridden multiple days in the rain and these Teknic gloves are terrible. Thanks for any input.
I gave up on finding the Holy Grail.
Several years ago I started using expensive Held gloves as my rain gloves. Well, wouldn't you know it they are actually perfect for this task. Most of them have the rubber wiper in the left glove forefinger. When the kangaroo skin glove gets wet, it still works well and grip on the controls is not affected. Most curious, the gloves dry out quickly and the kangaroo skin does not shrink nor stiffen up.
Yes, my hands get a little damp inside the gloves, but I have the protection and the grip I need. YMMV

I have a pair of Held Gore-Tex gloves that I bought about 10 years ago (I can't remember the model). Back when I used to ride (disclaimer for DucDave) I wore them in some pretty heavy rain and my hands stayed completely dry.
So, I guess my advice is to look for something in Gore-Tex.
the only normal people are the ones you don't know very well.
