I wave to Smart cars.
Waving is for boaters and Jeepsters, and even then it's ridiculous. I'm not the President, the Queen or the Pope therefore I don't wave. I focus on what I'm doing instead.
Yesterday I approached a 4-way stop as guy in gym shorts and a sleeveless shirt on a mid-2000's sport bike made his stop going across the intersection perpendicular to me. I was taking a right. I stopped looking to my left, made my right, and as my head spun around I realized he was still waiting at the stop line (5 seconds after stopping) solely so he could give me a head nod as I went through...

I hate waving and not getting a wave back. So I don't wave, and just wait to see if they wave, then I'll wave back... however, if they wave and I dont wave back in time.. I feel like a dick.

I only wave to myself while riding by a mirrored window.
I waved to Jane at the track today after my race. The look I got seemed to say " Who the fu...???" I laughed quite heartily.
