...and it's easier to replace sweat than it is skin.

ATGATT (i've had enough crashes to know better) though i do substitute jeans for leather pants sometimes.

"it's too hot for gear!!!" is not an excuse, it's only 95.
new england pussies, try riding in full gear in south FL or south west AZ.

Warm weather = Revit Dakar pants, Revit Ignition jacket, Oxtar Infinity boots. Yes, it's still warm, but vents well when moving. I went for non-black for the colours, both are sort of silver-grey, which seems to help with not baking to death.

My Firstgear kilimanjaro jacket + firsgear overpants cook me alive, but are wearable down to 22F (lowest so far I've braved the ice in)

I could not care less what others choose to do...I had my share of gearless rides.

But I can't say that I don't cringe every time I pull up behind someone with a girl in a tank top shorts and high heals on the back of a sportbike. And again even more when we come to a stop and it is apparent the driver is having some difficulty controlling his bike. Yikes....

+1 .... I damn near killed my sister when she pulled up on her BF's bike with capris, tank top and flip flops. Especially with the way he rides- squid through and through. Way too much trust....or is it stupidity?? Who knows

There is a big difference between stupid and ignorant. I tend to hope that those I see out there are ignorant and hope they don't have to learn the hard way.

i tend to agree with chris on this one - i prefer too look at the STDs as major food groups... or sometimes like clubs to become a member of... it really all depends on my mood

    Hmm... Lets turn this around.

Motorcycling like group sex, (because of others behaviors that have factors on your riding) it is a risky behavior, So is unprotected group sex. It might be fun and exciting but lets look at the risks...

You have chosen a sportbike to do this behavior so lets say you choose a "fast" girl for sex.

This girl may or may not have an STD. Do you use protection?

There are others in the room (on the street), do you take precautions so you don't get "rear ended"

On the other hand you choose to ride a HOG. Is your risk minimized?

How often would you have unprotected group sex if you could?...

Just a different way to think about it.
