Honestly, I see threads on this, like this one, 6 pages in a day, and ask myself who really gives a fuck what other people wear? The thought honestly never crosses my mind, it's not my skin. I do, occasionally, feel bad for the broad on the back with the bonehead driving, but that's on her for bein a bike lovin cock whore.
As for me, as if it's any of your business, I wear what the fuck I want. Generally (98% of the time) I wear full gear, but on a rare occasion (yesterday for example) I will wear boots, jeans,
t-shirt, gloves helmet. I've ridden in shorts before. I've ridden without a helmet before. I might do it again. I know the risks I'm taking, and I'm okay with the consequences if something happens.
The point of this book is, I wear what I want and it's none of your fucking business. You should do the same, and it's none of mine. Don't try to look cool, don't feel you "have" to wear anything more (or less) than you feel is necessary. I understand that you only ask out of curiosity, and perhaps to get ideas for hot weather gear, and this isn't an attack. WEAR WHAT YOU WANT, RIDE YOUR RIDE. If you don't like what I wear or how I ride, don't fucking ride with me.
