SO I'm at a very quaint cafe in Salem, MA right at Pickering Wharf. I parallel park the bike, back wheel to curb, closest vehicle to the corner. I look up from doing my home work and two guys sitting at the table out front, are waving for me to come out. Sure enough I come out, and the bike is on its side crying. My hands go right to my head, and I let out a loud sigh of what the fuck. Not the pissed of kind of wtf, but just more of a sigh to announce my disbelief. I get the paper work of the guy that knocked it over. I thanked him for sticking around, and his response was these guys would have had my plate if I left. I have a cracked tail section, and the left side plastic is lightly scuffed. The bar end, and clutch lever hit pretty hard. The foot peg, passenger peg, and mirror have very, very light marks from the pavement. The tank never hit. So, after I speak to insurance tomorrow I'm bringing it to Mark, at Breaklites on Rt.1 in Peabody. In addition to getting the plastics replaced, I'm hoping to just powder coat the pegs black (instead of replacing them), get some No cut frame sliders, Pazzo levers, SS front brake line hopefully at no additional cost. Depending how much magic Mark is able to make with the insurance company, galfer wave rotors would be a Huge plus, and maybe even a puig windscreen. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is having to be off the saddle for a week or so.
What the fuck!...this isn't your year bud. Don't feel bad i'm begining to feel the same...![]()

Aw that sucks..... At least the guy stuck around and the passersby were good to make him do so. Hooray for concerned citizens, boo for a damaged bike.

But, like you said...at least they stuck around.
Good luck on the repairs
Sucks, man. My GF knocked mine over (goddamnit), so I just had to suck it up. Considering yourself (relatively) lucky!![]()
mike, isn't this the second time?
Mike, that sucks man! Sorry to hear this. Glad he didnt run. This fucking bike is brand new! I havn't even got to see it yet. WTF is wrong with ppl???
If all else fails, Lean more....
My Monster got backed into and knocked over while it was parked in a parking spot 2 weeks after I bought it. The Bitch (a Lawyer) was driving a Suburban and didn't see it when she backed up. She went right over it!
So she gets out of her SUV and looks around then gets in and leaves! Luckily a friend of mine saw the whole thing from across the street and got the plate # from her vehicle. He came over to the brewery and told me what happened. Damn Bitch thought she got away with it and she is a F_cking Lawyer! I had the local beat cop (a fellow rider) write a report and run the plate # which is how she got caught. She got charged with leaving the scene and something else.
To cap it all off she sent some goon over the next day to harass me. He kept telling me I was wrong for parking in a CAR spot and that I should admit fault! I laughed in the guys face and told him if he didn't leave that he and her would be getting a visit from the police for harassment. Made me laugh thinking that she would try something like that.
All said and done the Bitch ended up buying me a new Termi exhaust, handle bars, Scott steering stabilizer and a carbon fibre clutch cover. I had not a bit of remorse for her due to her handling of the whole thing. And to think she was a LAWYER, they are the scum of the earth!
Ok, I feel better know....![]()

This is just not your season is it man?
At least the guy hung around. It'll be good as new again soon.
Hopefully next season will treat you better!

damn that blows man, sorry for the bad luck
i dont get how people are so careless around bikes. +1 on them being cool though. the kids that knocked mine over on both sides weren't as cool
Totally blows, man. Good thing the guy stuck around...but it kinda sounds like, from what he said, that if it weren't for people being around to catch his plate #, he would've been adios! Man up, asshole. It seems very few people want to take responsibilities for their own fuck ups. It's always the fast buck, or trying to get away with something they messed up...![]()
really shit luck, mike. sorry to hear about it, but at least it's not a super loss (you might even make out on top as long as you can keep yourself occupied for the week and you don't feel that no longer having an unmolested, virgin bike is a heart-breaking event)
hurray, strikethrough!

I spoke to mark at breaklites today, and the bike will be there tomorrow. The appraiser will be there friday. Hopefully everything moves along this quick and before you know it I'll be back in the saddle in a week.
