yes I think.... no, I know it is possible to recover, there was this decreasing radius corner and my bar end mirror scraped.

going up is always the best way.
i came close 2 doing that a few times.
i came real close, there where 2 blue haired ladys walking in the middle of the road & they split going 2 each side of the road

With that much daylight under the tire on such a heavy bike, I don't think many people could save that.

I tried the same manouevre 3 times this year on my 125. twice I crashed, and once I was able to put the wheels back on the ground and the bike stood up. The corner worker was juming up and down cheering! Of course I was pointed straight at the wall in turn 2, but I got it stopped and back on track without falling.

Even on my 160 lb 125, it took such a big effort from the back of my outside leg to get the wheels down that it cramped so bad I couldn't move it for the rest of the lap.

The problem is that you have no other point from which to push the bike up. Even with my elbow and ass on the ground, pulling the wheels back under me with my outside leg was the only way to gather that up.

Aside from all the crap he/she is doing WRONG (and there are plenty!)... strictly from a photographic point of view... that is a really cool photo. I only hope it's real and not created.

Perhaps he/she can see roadkill around the corner, off which he will push with left knee to upright his ride... or perhaps there is a UPS truck which makes lots of things moot points...
