I've got a 2003 SV650S in Burning Copper with less than 5000 miles on it.
The bike is in perfect condition except it was dropped on the right side. The front fairing got a 1"x0.5" scrape and the exhaust can got a little dent. Most of the damage was taken by the (aftermarket?) sliders.
It's got Suzuki lowering links and stock links included.
It's also got a matching solo seat cover and sissy bar.
The tires are in great shape, it just passed Maine inspection a month or so ago.
What's a fair asking price for this bike?

It would be worth more if it wasn't made of copper! Silver would be better!

Coppah is fastah!
Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
Very nice. I've been looking for an SVS for a couple of months and it looks like $3k is a decent asking price to start. I've seen some with similar mileage, but maybe a year or two newer without a drop, asking $3500.
And aside from the thread hyjack, I love this color SV.
In an attempt to help, if I were the seller, I would put on craigslist for $4k, go into local dealer and see if they will write you a check for it. I know dealerships local to me are dying for 750 and under sportbikes to resell...check cycletrader.com too. Not sure if thats free or not but its a huge marketplace. Check out svrider.com Im sure they have a for sale section as well.
I think it depends on how fast do you want to sell it. If you want it to go quickly ask $3k and you'll probably get within a couple of hundered of that. If you have time you can ask $3500 and you may get $3k. It's up to you how agressive you want to be. At the end of the day, it is a 7 year old bike that when was new was not very expensive (I think $6.5k).

i have the identical bike
got it with low miles.. no damage..
undertail kit

custom after market exhaust
new blinkers etc.

for 3kand well worth it!
Why list the aftermarket accessories then? Obviously they add value if you felt the need to post them up (yes I am being a dick and and yes I am just f***ing with you)>

My 03 SV650s was probably my favoritest bike to date:
I agree with others that $3000 is probably the magic number.
