I just ordered one of these, $40 shipped through Amazon, after reading a few posts here and there about it.
Amazon.com: Digital Blue Tony Hawk Helmetcam: Camera & Photo
Totally self-contained and records to SD, which is a plus because I have a couple of 4GB cards kicking around for photography. The recording quality I've seen from it is decent, and honestly rather spectacular for such a cheap camera.
I'll post a few vids up and a review once it comes in.Keep in mind that I'm no stunter, so they'll be boring around-town videos, but I do live in a pretty nice country area so at least they'll be pretty.

I wonder how well it will handle vibration. Def. keep up us posted!
based on feeback, its worthless
2001 RC51!!!
2007 Husky SMR 510 - no longer... blown tranny
Check all the reviews out. The first three are bad, and the rest are all pretty positive, like this guy using it for MX:
Idon't understand why people gave this cam only 1 & 2 stars??? The video is very good and it only takes a few footage takes to get the cam set perfectly for motocross riding. It just takes a little patience (very little) and know how to set up......in other words if you can open a gift wrapped box then you can figure this thing out. When it's played on a computer the picture is very good and scrolls perfectly, and the sound is really good also. I was skeptical about this thing based on some reviews but man, my buddy and I were pleasantly surprised at how good the video and sound actually were. Our motocross video footage looked exactly like it does in real time. Bottom line is this thing is perfect for what it's made for and what it cost, and what it is........a good cheap
The 15min max recording length is a big turn off for me.
I use an archos 405 with the helmet cam accesory (it's like a lipstick cam) and a 16 gig sdhc card. The whole getup cost me $300, and records in 640x480 resolution. Not too shabby... and it doesn't skip and has decent light exposure.
But then again, it sure as hell didn't cost only $40!
I've been looking at the Oregon Scientific ATC2000.
Same kinda self-contained set-up for under 100 bucks.

15 frames per second is kind of bad. Thats 1/2 the smoothness of standard def TV.
